Silver Threads

The Silver Threads, Valley Stream’s own Senior Citizen Enrichment Program, meets on a regular basis at the Valley Stream Community Center located along the path at A.J. Hendrickson Park. Residents of the Inc. Village of Valley Stream or Valley Stream Central High School District are eligible to be a part of the Silver Threads as long as they are 55 years of age or older. Our wide array of engaging events and programs provides members with a lively setting to interact with their peers!

If you are interested in becoming a Silver Thread, please fill out the application portion of our pamphlet and return it to the front desk at the Valley Stream Community Center during normal business hours. You will be able to obtain a copy of the pamphlet at the Community Center, or by clicking the link on the right. You will be able to find our monthly Bus Schedule & Calendar of Events below. To sign up for Bus Service, please call the Community Center. 

Proof of residency is required.
